Middle Eastren lamb and rice

I love middle eastern food and made up this recipe when I found local ground lamb at the store. The best flavors!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • greek yogurt
Prep:
  1.  Brown lamb in a large sauce pan, season with salt and pepper
  2. drain excess grease
  3. deglaze pan with broth
  4. add seasonings  
  5. add rice and pine nuts
  6. cover and cook on low until liquid absorbed and rice cooked, about 20 minutes
  7. serve on a plate spread with greek yogurt
